Khao Yai National Park

 

Khao Yai National Park, which is considered one of Thailand's attractions, is the first national park in Thailand that was built in 1962. This park, which is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with a series of forests, is an excellent place for wildlife viewing, nature tourism, night safari, bird watching, photography and filming. In the national park, there are seven tourist routes, long routes must be taken with a guide so as not to get lost. Visitor center, observation towers, several waterfalls, caves, etc. are other attractions of the national park. Pang Sida National Park

Pang Sida National Park with 844 square kilometers was declared as a national park in 1982. This park is located less than 30 kilometers from Sa Cayo and displays a magnificent combination of evergreen forests, mountains and valleys, cliffs, grasslands and waterfalls. This park, along with several other protected areas, has been registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the file "Dang Fayin Cao Yai Forest Complex".

The wildlife of Pang Sida National Park is of great importance. According to the information obtained in 2000, this park is home to 271 species of vertebrates, 81 species of mammals, 143 species of birds, 19 species of reptiles, 16 species of amphibians and 19 species of fish. The park's rich vegetation includes evergreen forests, tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests, etc.

Pang Sida National Park is most famous for its butterflies, birds and waterfalls, and its most important attraction is Pang Sida Waterfall. There are two camping areas in the park and a large number of trails with different levels of difficulty have been installed for walking.

Pang Sida National Park has no restaurants or eateries; So take food and drinking water with you. Of course, there are a number of restaurants in the village adjacent to the park. For overnight stay, if you are not a camper, you can use the park's rental houses. These houses, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, rent (in 2022) for 1,200 Thai baht per night.

The entrance fee of Pang Sida National Park (in 2022) is 200 THB for adults and 100 THB for children (3-14 years old). You have to pay 30 Thai baht for the car. The working hours of Pang Sida National Park are from 6:00 to 16:30 and the working hours of the park administration are from 8:00 to 16:30.

National Park to Praia

Ta Praya National Park is one of the nature tourism destinations and national parks of Thailand, which was registered as a protected area in 1996. This park has an area of about 699 square kilometers and is located in the east of Pang Sida National Park, near the border of Thailand and Cambodia. Most of the park is located in Sa Cayo province and parts of it are also located in Buriram province. This national park, along with several other protected areas, has been registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the "Dong Phayin Khao Yai Forest Complex" file.

Vegetation of the National Park to Praia includes tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests, deciduous and bivalve myogan species. Some of the animal species in the park include sambar deer, mouse deer, Indian howler deer, Asian black bear, sun bear, thumb-cutters, and long-armed monkey. The highest peak in the park is called Khao Phra Nhat. Also, ruins of ancient Khmer Empire temples are located in Ta Praia Park.

To access the national park to Praia, drive on Highway No. 33 and after about 76 km, turn left onto Highway No. 348. After 27 km, you will reach the entrance of the park. The working hours of the National Park to Praia are from 8:30 to 12:00 on Sundays and from 8:30 to 16:00 on other weekdays. The entrance fee to Praia National Park (in 2022) is 200 THB for adults and 100 THB for children.

Tong Yai Narswan Protected Area

Designated as a protected area in 1972, Thong Yai Narswan Conservation Area is located in the northern parts of Kanchaburi Province and southern Tak Province and is located on the western border of Thailand and Myanmar. This area was registered in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1991 due to the presence of dense tropical forests and unique biological diversity.

Tong Yai Narswan Protected Area covers an area of more than 5,700 square kilometers and is home to many species of animals, some of which are in danger of extinction. Among the amazing species of the region, we can mention wild buffalo, Asian wild dog, leopard, gray jungle fowl, green peacock and many types of forest insects.

Tourists cannot roam freely in Tong Yai Narswan Conservation Area and can only go to one of the three built-in stations:

The cost of visiting Thong Yai Narswan Conservation Area (in 2022) is 200 THB for adults and 100 THB for children. For overnight stays, contact the administrative office at least 20 days in advance. The working hours of Tong Yai Narswan Protected Area are from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Visitors first enter the tribal village, which has facilities such as restaurants and lodgings. It is 750 meters from this village to the top of the mountain. The rocky valley of Sam Phan Bok

Phanom Rong Park
