Hotel Baran Hendorabi

Hendorabi village with an area of approximately 8.5 hectares and occupying 0.4% of the total area of the island is located on the north coast of the island. In 2015, this village had 9 households equal to 79 people, including 40 men and 39 women. The local residents of the island speak Persian and Arabic languages. The vast majority of the people of the island are Muslim and follow the Shafi'i Sunni religion. The main activity of the people of this island is fishing and diving, and due to the lack of necessary facilities, their catch volume is very low.
The village has a school and a mosque. The sources of water supply of the island in the past are through wells and reservoirs and now through a desalination device. The island's electricity is also produced and distributed using diesel generators.

Hendorabi Island has a dry climate. The annual precipitation index is 162.9 mm. The highest amount of precipitation is in December and the lowest amount is in September. The coldest month of the year is January and August is also the hottest month of the year. The percentage of relative humidity in the region is high, but in the hot and dry season, this percentage reaches the highest level.
Geographical location, flora and fauna of the island
Hendorabi Island with an area of 21.95 square kilometers and a coastline length of 30.57 kilometers is located between Kish and Lawan islands and 325 kilometers from Bandar Abbas, the capital of Hormozgan province. This island is an almost flat land with no natural complications that leads to the sea with a gentle slope. Its highest point is about 33 meters above sea level. The distance between Hendorabi Island and its mother island, Kish, is 26.83 km from the shortest sea route. This island is located in the northwest of Kish. Also, its distance to the main land (Chirounieh village) is about 7 kilometers.
The vegetation of Hendorabi Island consists of several patches of semi-tropical savannah groves and weak and low-density pastures. Trees have grown scattered in different areas. In total, 582 trees with a relative density of less than 0.5 trees per hectare have been identified in the area of this island. Laurel, Kenar, Iranian mesquite and Gaz trees are the most important tree species of Indo-Arabic.
The animal fauna of Hendorabi is more diverse than its other inhabitants. From the category of reptiles, 6 species from two orders and three families have been identified, the most famous of which is the endangered species, the eagle-nosed turtle, which lays its eggs on the sandy beaches of the island. Among birds, 38 species from six orders and 21 families have been observed on the island, which is a new report for the south of Iran. Coastal egret and brown-necked raven also breed on laurel trees. Among mammals, a non-native species of black rat has been identified in the island. According to the international lists and the regulations of the Environmental Protection Organization of Iran, 5 protected species, one threatened species of birds and one endangered species of reptiles have been identified on the island.
The Hendorabi coral area is considered a very important habitat in the region for all kinds of aquatic life. The density of corals is higher on the northern shores of the island, and the northern reef has a depth of 5 to 8 meters, and the eastern reefs are full of starfish. Among the aquatic species found in these reefs are brain corals, surgeon fish, yellow tail tuna, yonic, Picasso, sailor and parrot fish.
