Abali ski resort is located at the beginning of the road between Haraz and Amol. If your origin is Tehran, you should go to Firuzkoh and Haraz road. Therefore, from the east side of Tehran (Afsarieh, Hemet, Babaei or Damavand highways) enter Abali road and after Jajroud and Pardis, go to Bomehan city. This area is the destination of many athletes and tourists due to its location on the Tehran-North road and also because of the favorable weather it has in summer.
This track is the birthplace of modern skiing and the foundation of this sport in Iran, whose highest point is 2,650 meters above sea level and the lowest point is 2,400 meters high, and its snow melts later than other places. For this reason, it is considered a suitable place for skiing. Interestingly, Abali track is similar to Tochal track in terms of area and height of the peak.

Abali ski resort hotel is one of the famous historical buildings of Abali, which is known as the first concrete building of Iran and the first modern style guest house in the country and has a good view of the surrounding mountains. This hotel, which is known among local people as "Shale Ozneh", was built in the years 1314 to 1316 AH by a Soviet-born engineer named Monsieur Mengenev and his two German colleagues named George and Andranik. The hotel has two separate parts; White building with two floors and the main part which has three floors. This complex was registered as the country's first modern guest house in the list of national monuments of Iran, and historically, it is considered the country's first wayside hotel, which unfortunately has remained in disrepair in recent years due to lack of attention from the authorities and is on the verge of destruction due to heavy rain and snow. Currently, it is not possible to stay in this hotel and you can only visit its exterior.
