Abdan is known as the center of tomato production in the country and the center of Quranic religious activities in Bushehr province

Abdan is a city in Bushehr province of Iran. Abdan city is located in the central part of Deir county. [1] According to the census of 2005, the population of Abdan city is 6058 people (1224 households).

Abdan means a place with plenty of water. Such a name is not so unusual for this region because Abdan has a valley called Jashak Valley, where the floods and the watershed of two mountain ranges, which are twelve kilometers apart, flow towards this valley, and after irrigating the agricultural lands on both sides of the road Bushehr Kangan is located in the north of Abdan, flows into Khor Bardestan and then into the beautiful Persian Gulf.

Age of Abdan:

The city of Abdan is 300 years old, of course there are pre-Islamic monuments and buildings around it that need to be excavated and carefully studied, but the main question is when was Abdan populated and existed as a concentrated village and trade flourished there. It belongs to Afshariyah period.
